Drudgemaster Chronicles...

Well, I'm all moved in (but not, of course, all unpacked).
Just ran out the door for some staple groceries - parmesano reggiano, extra virgin olive oil (love that oxymoron) some Worchestershire Sauce (Wooster sauce) and something else i'm having trouble recalling...oh, yeah, coconut oil, in the 'creme' form, which I use to tart up my oatmeal, along with some bluebrries, once or twice a week for brekkie (helpful household hint-buy it at the grocery store instead of the 'health' food store- half the price, 'healthier' for yer budget, kids!)...and I also voted (Canadian Federal Election)....
So trying to fit a two-bedroom, crowded apartment into a much smaller one bed with a bit of a closet/den type space...being a bit of a hoarder, it has very recently come to my attention that I need to have a yard sale, and fast!
Glad to be here, though, and if any of you feel like it, Google "Chemainus, BC, Canada" and have a look at our main claim to fame...go ahead, it's painless and kinda cool..we have busloads of tourists driving through looking at 'em all the time..what, you say?
Aha! like I said, Google "Chemainus" and discover for yourself...
Meantime, while you are distracted with all that, I'll sneak away and try and create order out of the chaos that is my new home...wish me luck.

  1. I love murals. We have a few buildings with them here. Chemainus sure is small though, isn't it?

  2. The 'downtown' portion of Chemainus is tiny, but the actual area of the town of Chemainus is several miles long and wide..almost to Duncan, if you are looking at a map...
I live in the 'tiny' part of it, a wonderful area with beautiful little vintage wooden houses and close to the water...love it!

  3. I was kinda going by population numbers. It sounds like a wonderful place to live tho.

  4. I remember we drove by your town when we were in BC 8 years ago, but didn't have time to stop! I've heard about all of the neat murals, though! I am sooo worn out from unpacking and trying to get o0rganized! Hoe about you? At least it's comforting to know that we are in the same boat! And you mentioned in a post to me that you'd spent forever on the phone with the cable co. Well, I can feel your pain! Or I should say my husband can! He spent hours and hours on the phone with the so called "customer service" dept. trying to get our internet connection all set up! It was crazy!! Oh, I love your sign, it's awesome!!

  6. Well the sugar and bread are both things i avoid, and a bit of milk for coffee is as far as i go in that direction...eggs? I get free range, organic eggs from my weekly market or lots of farms, etc in the neighborhood..did you know that egg yolks are actually a kind of bright yellow-orange, not the pale things that they sell in supermarkets..
And that real eggs taste fantastic?
